Account Deletion

What does it mean to delete my account?

Deleting your account means any personally identifiable information (PII) you provided through the app is removed from our servers.  This includes:

  • Login credentials: Elemind account email and password
  • Your date of birth from the Elemind Profile page
  • Any preference information you provided on the Elemind Profile page.  This includes your preferred bed and wake time ranges, your Sleep Goals, your Bedtime Routine answers, your Sleep Position preference, and your Bed Partner category.

Any remaining data collected from your Elemind headband and app will be anonymized, which means the data remains with Elemind, but cannot be linked back to you.  This anonymized data includes:

  • Raw data collected from the Elemind headband sensors, which includes electroencephalographic (EEG) data, accelerometry (position and movement) data, date-time stamps associated with when such data was collected (e.g., bed and wake times), and time zone information associated at the time of data collection.
  • Derived data from the raw sensor data.  This includes your Sleep Scores and related sleep outcome measures (Time Asleep, Time To Fall Asleep, Sleep Efficiency, and Restlessness.)
  • Non-identifiable data from your Elemind Profile page, which includes your gender, weight, and height.

Elemind will retain a full record of your purchase history to assist with customer support issues and returns and exchange transactions.  This data is kept in secure servers with tightly restricted access.

How do I delete my account?

Deleting your account can be performed from your Elemind app.

Tap on the “Settings” button in the lower right corner of your screen.  Tap the “Preferences” button and then tap on the “Account” button.

At the very bottom of the screen, tap on the “Delete account” button.  A pop-up window will appear at the bottom of the screen asking you “Are you sure you want to Delete your Account?”  Tap the red “Delete” button to confirm your account deletion request.

What happens when I delete my account?

Your account login credentials, which include your Elemind account email and password, are deleted from our servers.  The app will then log you out of the app and return you to the Account Activate/Login screen.

Understand that deleting your account credentials closes you out of the app.  You will no longer be able to access any of the features inside of the app.  This means you will not be able to view your data or update the device firmware.  Firmware updating is only possible through the app with an active account.

Your headband will still function as a stand-alone device and deliver the Elemind Sleep Sound stimulation.  Any data that is processed during the sound stimulation delivery is done directly from the device and is not sent to any of Elemind’s servers.

What about any remaining time left on my paid subscription?

Elemind will not offer any prorated refunds for existing time left on your remaining pre-paid subscriptions.
